170lbs XKO MAIN EVENT – XKO SUPERSTAR KANO GREGOIRE (ATT) vs HAYWARD “THE HYBRID” CHARLES (Ironside/ Velocity) - This is the most highly anticipated match-up XKO has put together in the 170lb division. Kano looks to make a strong return in XKO. He has never been submitted, TKO’d or KO’d is XKO history. With his overwhelming fighting style it will make for a tough and challenging match-up for Hayward Charles. Hayward who has won 6 out of his last 7 fights says this is his toughest challenge yet. Hayward is known for being the best Jiu-jitsu style fighter in Texas. He has multiple wins in XKO coming in the first round by submission and hasn’t backed down from a challenge yet.
115lbs XKO 1st EVER FEMALE FIGHT AMBER STAUTZENBERGER (Mohlers) vs ASHLEY ALLEN (Ground King Jiu-Jitsu) This is XKO’s first ever female fight! This is an historic night for XKO and the fight fans that come watch in attendance. Amber Stautzenberger is one of the best female fighters in Texas and looks to continue her win streak against the decorated Jiu-jitsu competitor Ashley Allen. Amber has solid wrestling and comes from a great fight camp. Ashley will be making he pro debut and feels comfortable wherever the fight goes. Ashley is making her pro debut but feels confident she will have no problems dealing with Ambers previous fight experience. At XKO 17 Ambers boyfriend Tristian Grimsley faced Ashleys striking coach Julian Pinales. Both Julian and Tristian will be in each of the fighters corners. We are excited for this fight and promise it will bring fireworks.
265lbs JEFF TORO (Dallas MMA 300/ Mohlers) vs MARK RASO (Ironside MMA) After 17 events, this Heavyweight fight could prove to be one of the Best! Jeff Toro is a 6 foot 6 knockout machine. All of Jeff’s fights have ended in KO or TKO. Jeff is taking on Heavyweight fighter Mark Raso. Mark is a training partner at Ironside with Hayward Charles so we know he has a solid ground game. Both fighters are heavy hitters! You can expect this fight to end in a KO!!!!!!
145lbs HUMBERTO MARTINEZ (Dallas MMA 300) vs STEPHEN BANASZAK (Chop Shop MMA) If you want to see a fast paced fight then this is the fight for you! In the 145lb division you see quick fighters with quick hands and good movement. This fight features pro debut fighter Humberto Martinez taking on Stephen Banaszak! Humberto is making his debut after having a perfect ammy career. Humberto trains with XKO standout and Knockout artist Ciprian Hangan. Humberto is looking to Knockout Stephen. Stephen also had a solid ammy career going 8-1 as an amateur. Stephen won all of his fights by submission and plans on taking this fight to the ground! Expect fireworks in this fight because it will be you classic “Striker vs Grappler” match-up!
185lbs RASHAD COULTER (Octagon MMA) vs DEREK PERKINS (Phalanx) Rashad Coulter is well known in the DFW area with a perfect 3-0 record and all wins by TKO or KO. Rashad was scheduled to fight in the main event at XKO 17 vs Ciprian Hangan. Unfortunately Ciprian broke his arm 1 week prior to the event so the XKO fight fans never got a chance to see Rashad in action. He takes on Derek Perkins out of Phalanx MMA. Derek will be making his pro debut against the powerful Coulter and plans on coming in with an impact. I see this fight standing and ending only in a form of a knockout.
145lbs MOISES DIAZ (Alvarez BJJ and The Gym) vs DAVID ARMAS (Silverback Fight Club) The long awaited return of Moises Diaz happens on Saturday March 23rd! Moises is said to be one of the most entertaining fighters in XKO. He has built a great reputation for his Muay Thai skills and “Fight of the night” honors. Moises said he will challenge anyone in XKO and first to step up was David Armas. David had an impressive debut win at XKO 17 with a TKO win over the Jiu-jitsu specialist Jaime Anaya. David has both the endurance and power to handle the aggressive Diaz. This could be you “Fight of the night” match-up.
165lbs JACOB CAPELLI vs WALDRICK BROOKS (Fission MMA) This will be both Jacob Capelli’s and Waldrick Brooks Professional debut. Both fighters had similar amateur careers and are ready to take the step to the pro level. This will be exciting for fight fans because they will bring everything they have in the first round looking to make an impact in XKO. Sometimes the debut fights make the best fights. It’s a make it or break it type of fight.
185lbs TIMOTHY STEPHENSON (The Gym) vs STEVEN CLOUD (Star BJJ) Timothy Stephenson made his pro debut at XKO 17 on one weeks notice. He made a huge impact in the company with his striking style. Tim has an impressive traditional martial arts background the transitioned nice into the mixed martial arts world. He takes on Steven Cloud a fighter returning to XKO after over a year and a half absence from the cage. Both fighters are fighting in a new weight class which makes for an interesting fight. Expect to stand during this fight because it will be exciting.
125lbs JP COLE (Saekson Muay Thai) vs ISAIAH GUTIERREZ (Travis Lutters) At 125lbs you know the two fighters will move quickly in the XKO square cage. At this weight anything can happen. JP Cole will be making his first appearance in XKO and comes from one of the best Muay Thai schools in Texas. He takes on pro debut fighter Isaiah Gutierrez out of Travis Lutters school a UFC veteran with a lot of experience. Isaiah is another fighter with great jiu jitsu skills and training partners to help him with his debut fight. Don’t blink during this fight because anything can happen!
